Oxford Square is located off West Jackson. The main entrance is directly across from the Chevrolet dealership.  There is also an entrance off Hathorn Road.  It is convenient to shopping and dining on West Jackson, as well as close to Campus and The Square, though not walking distance.

 

The inside is great, but the complex itself is not in the best condition.  About 4 years ago, an investment company purchased the complex, remodeled, and converted the units to condos from apartments.  Quite a few units in the complex were purchased, sight unseen, by California investors.  As the rental market began to slow in Oxford, the California folks were not getting the returns they expected, stopped paying condo fees, and eventually began to default on their mortgages.  Meanwhile, the complex began to suffer maintenance-wise from a lack of funds, and other owners began to back off as well.  To date, nearly half of the units out there have been foreclosed on.  This is one that Roy and I bought (we also bought a second, 1BR unit).  The complex is still in need of a lot of work on the exteriors of the buildings and the grounds.
